If you’re like me, then you probably don’t have Kia fully on your radar. That changed for me after I drove the Kia e-Niro for the first time. The Kia slogan at the time was “The Power To Suprise” I thought it was very appropriate. After testing various Kia models over the past few years, I was no longer surprised by Kia. I now simply expect the quality and good driving characteristics from a Kia.

The now presented Kia EV6 is what I think is a good demonstration of the new motto.

The 800 Volt architecture means that the KIA EV6 In 18 Minutes from 10 on 80 percent can be loaded, also 100 km range in Reload less than 4.5 minutes.
That’s what we’ll only get from the know Porsche Taycan . But the EV6 is not only advancing in Porsche regions in terms of charging speed, but also in terms of acceleration values.

The EV6 2WD with 77, 4 kWh battery has a combined Range of over 480 kilometers (according to WLTP). He has a 168 kW (229 PS ) powerful electric motor that drives the rear wheels. The all-wheel drive version has an engine with 239 kW (325 HP) power and 560 Nm torque and completes the sprint from zero to 100 km / h in just 5.2 seconds.
The EV6 AWD with standard battery (58, 0 kWh) is replaced by a 173 – kW electric motor driven, who also 605 Nm torque ment and accelerates to speed in 6.2 seconds 100. The rear-wheel drive with standard battery has an electric motor mi t 125 kW power.
The EV6 GT, its two motors a total of 400 kW mobilize, is on a different level in terms of performance. Its maximum torque of 740 Nm catapults the all-wheel drive from a standing start in just 3.5 seconds 100 kilometers per hour, and the

800 Volt fast charging
The EV6 can be operated without additional components or adapters to 800- and 400 – Connect volt charging stations. This makes it possible for all model variants to charge the battery in only 18 Minutes from 10 on 77 percent to charge. And the 2WD versions with 55, 4 kWh battery can be recharged in less than four and a half minutes 100 Kilometers of range “refuel”.
The EV6 owes its greater charging flexibility compared to previous battery-electric vehicles to an integrated charging control unit (ICCU). The ICCU enables a new “Vehicle-to-Load” function (V2L), with which energy can be drawn from the vehicle battery.
